The Pittsley Lighting & Sound design is from the logo that was designed in the late 1970's and updated to add color and reflect the business. Pittsley Lighting & Sound is a company that was formed to do theatrical lighting in schools and stages throughout the Midwest. When this business formed there were no light shows for performers when they went out to fairs and events that did not have formal stages. PLS was a pioneer in their approach to bring theatrical lighting and sound to events that were lit with a string of light bulbs and a handful of flood light bulbs. There were no special lighting for stage shows at fairs and smaller venues. This was totally unheard of in the late 1950's and 1960's when William Pittsley started this business. PLS has done lighting and sound for the top country and western stars and many rock stars for decades. PLS has also worked for dignitaries such as several Presidents and Vice Presidents of the USA as well as many governors and other political dignitaries.
